Arnhem Land:A rugged and very scenic part of the Top End. This photo shows some escarpments reflecting a smoky red sunset. Fires are common here during the dry season, as shown below.
Arnhem Land:The East Alligator River (left photo) forms part of the north west boundary of Arnhem Land. It separates Kakadu National Park from this virtually untouched part of the Northern Territory. Here's a bit of the scenery.
Sandstone Rock Formations:Weather beaten sandstone on the top of escarpments presents some very interesting and often delicate shapes. Some formations are believed to have been created by the writhings of the Rainbow Serpent, shown above - 3rd from left.
Arnhem Land's Local Residents:These are some of the many indiginous creatures occuring around here, most of them bite. These shots were taken by a Frenchman who's pretty handy with a camera.
Barramundi:Mission accomplished. Three blokes in a boat armed with a fishing rod and an esky each. The Mary River System is a top place for landing these fellas.
