Rabbit Flat:
The roadhouse was constructed in 1969 by the Ferrands, who still run it. The area is gold rich and in 1908 there was a town of 200 miners here. There are currently two major gold mines; The Granites
& Tanami Mine.
These Days:
The wild west is still right here. Rabbit Flat is very remote and it's a bloody long way between pubs. Take plenty of roadies.
Note:
Rabbit Flat Roadhouse is open on Friday through to Monday only. From Tuesday to Thursday it's closed.
